Job Description
Universal Cranes is a privately owned family business that operates mobile crane hire branches throughout Australia, New Zealand and Guam. We have a fleet of 200 cranes ranging from 2.5T to 1200T, including Frannas, all-terrains and crawler cranes. Universal Cranes began as a family crane hire business in 1993 and have grown to become a multinational crane hire company. We pride ourselves on maintaining a family business service culture while providing our clients with a high capacity fleet.

We are currently seeking experienced finance professional Credit Officer to join our friendly team, based in our Head Office at Murarrie.

About the Role
n
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate that you have solid finance background and experience, great communication skills and high level problem solving abilities to manage a largely autonomous position.
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, duties include but not limited to:
n
Ensure the collection of overdue accounts, keeping bad debt to a minimum and preserving cash flow
n
Contact customers with overdue accounts to negotiate fair and flexible payments, exercising care and compassion
n
You'll work closely with debt collection agencies to resolve complex credit problems and mitigate risk on referred and delinquent accounts
n
You'll work in a fast-paced customer contact centre environment
n
Liaises with clients and sales to resolve disputes
n
Preparing journal entriesand bank reconciliations
n
Prepare debtor reporting including producingmonthly Aged Debtor Reports
n
Highlighting problem customers to senior management
n
Processing and assessment of Credit Account and COD Applications
n
Maintain the integrity of customer records and its security
n
To be successful in the Credit Officer role you must possess the following attributes:
n
Understanding of end-to-end Debt Collection
n
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and team members
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Strong and demonstrated collection experience
n
High volume telephone collections experience a must
n
Ability to communicate with evidence of effective issue management and query resolution
n
Ability to influence outcomes without any direct line authority
n
Proactive in identifying and solving problems
n
Drive for continuous improvement of processes and operational excellence
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise
n
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
Tenacity and ability to have difficult conversations
n
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
n
Proficiency in Oracle Netsuite and Visual Dispatch systems, preferred
