Lives Lived Well is seeking an accomplished, clinically qualified executive leader to help shape the future of one of Australia's leading human services organisations.

As Director, Practice Assurance & Impact, you will join the Executive Leadership Team and provide enterprise leadership across clinical governance architecture, organisational assurance, governance intelligence, lived experience strategy, research, evaluation and organisational learning. Working closely with the CEO, Board and Executive Leadership Team, you will strengthen the systems, insights and accountability that support safe, high-quality, effective and culturally responsive services.

This role is accountable for leading Lives Lived Well's clinical governance architecture and organisational assurance framework, ensuring the Board and Executive have confidence in the systems that support safety, quality, effectiveness and accountability. While the role does not provide operational clinical leadership or direct management of service delivery, it plays a critical executive role in monitoring, assuring and strengthening the effectiveness of governance systems across the organisation.

This newly created executive role offers a rare opportunity to establish and lead an integrated Directorate that brings together clinical governance, quality, risk, safety, data, evaluation, lived experience, reconciliation and continuous improvement within a single strategic portfolio.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead an integrated portfolio focused on clinical governance, organisational assurance, evidence, participation and impact.

You will provide executive leadership across five interconnected areas:

Clinical Governance & Organisational Assurance

Strengthen clinical governance architecture, organisational assurance frameworks and governance intelligence that support safe, effective and accountable services.

Risk, Safety & Resilience

Provide executive leadership across enterprise risk, clinical risk,



workplace health and safety, accreditation readiness and organisational resilience.

Evidence, Data & Impact

Lead the use of data, reporting, evaluation, outcomes and governance intelligence to support informed decision-making, external accountability and organisational learning.

Research, Improvement & Innovation

Advance research, evaluation, innovation and continuous improvement to strengthen service effectiveness, client outcomes and organisational impact.

Lived Experience, Reconciliation & Cultural Safety

Provide executive leadership of LLW's lived experience strategy and supporting participation, partnership and co-design frameworks, while ensuring lived experience, reconciliation and cultural safety are embedded throughout governance, evaluation, service design, improvement and organisational decision-making.

Working collaboratively with leaders across the organisation, you will build capability, influence strategic decision-making and ensure assurance activities support improvement rather than compliance alone. Executives and service leaders will continue to hold operational accountability for managing risks, controls and improvement actions within their areas.

About You

You are a strategic, values-led and clinically qualified executive who brings sound judgement, strong influence and the ability to translate complexity into transparent organisational direction.

You will bring:

- A relevant tertiary clinical qualification, which is essential for this role.
- Significant executive leadership experience across clinical governance, quality, risk, safety and assurance within a complex health or human services organisation.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing and improving integrated clinical governance, organisational assurance, quality, risk and accountability systems.
- A robust record of advising Boards, CEOs and executive leaders and translating complex data, risk, safety, audit, evaluation and lived experience information into clear strategic advice.
- Demonstrated experience using data, outcomes, performance reporting and trend analysis to support governance oversight, accountability and organisational improvement.
- Significant experience leading research, evaluation, innovation, continuous improvement or organisational learning initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience advancing lived experience leadership,



participation and co-design frameworks, together with a strong commitment to cultural safety, reconciliation and improved outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and diverse communities.
- Proven ability to establish and lead multidisciplinary functions, integrate teams and maintain continuity of critical responsibilities through organisational change.

Tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in governance, risk, quality, public health administration, human services, business, research, evaluation, organisational development or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
