We're looking for a Workshop Manager to take the reins of a busy workshop supporting mobile crushing and screening equipment. You'll be leading a team of 10-15 diesel fitters, technicians and apprentices, overseeing everything from new machine builds and commissioning through to hire fleet maintenance, workshop repairs and machine preparation. Success in this role is less about turning spanners and more about keeping the workshop organised, keeping jobs moving, communicating with management and ensuring reporting, labour allocation and paperwork are completed on time. You'll be the link between the workshop floor and senior management, making sure everyone has clear visibility of job progress, priorities and deadlines. The workshop has a good crew and a strong culture already in place. We're not looking for someone to come in and crack the whip. We're looking for a practical leader who can earn respect, communicate well and keep people accountable without creating drama. If you're a Workshop Manager, Maintenance Manager, Service Manager or experienced Workshop Supervisor who enjoys leading people and running an efficient operation, this is a fantastic long-term opportunity.

What We're Looking For

- Workshop Manager, Maintenance Manager, Service Manager or Senior Workshop Supervisor experience
- Previous experience leading teams of 10-15 tradespeople
- Strong workshop scheduling and labour allocation experience
- Experience managing workshop productivity and meeting delivery deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively up and down the management chain
- Strong administration and reporting skills
- Experience within crushing & screening, quarrying, mining, earthmoving or heavy equipment environments
- Good understanding of workshop financial performance and labour utilisation
- Ability to mentor apprentices and develop workshop personnel




- Strong focus on safety, quality and workshop standards
- Someone who can build on an already positive team culture

What's On Offer

- $130,000 - $150,000 + Super depending on experience
- Monday to Friday role
- Approximately 40-42 hour working week
- 6:30am - 3:30pm workshop operation

Your Day-To-Day

- Run day-to-day workshop operations
- Lead and coordinate diesel fitters, technicians and apprentices
- Schedule workshop jobs and allocate labour resources
- Oversee machine builds, commissioning and pre-delivery preparation
- Manage hire fleet inspections, servicing and off-hire repairs
- Monitor labour efficiency and workshop productivity
- Manage workshop inventory and parts requirements
- Ensure workshop equipment is maintained and operating correctly
- Provide regular progress updates and reporting to senior management
- Support the team with technical challenges and complex repairs
- Maintain high safety and compliance standards across the workshop and yard
