About the role

We are seeking a skilled and organised Paralegal to join our team at our Brisbane office. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our legal team and ensuring the smooth delivery of legal services to our clients. As a Paralegal, you will work closely with solicitors and barristers, providing essential administrative, research, and case management support. This position is fundamental to the efficient operation of our practice and offers the opportunity to develop your legal career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

- Providing comprehensive administrative support to solicitors, including scheduling, correspondence management and file organisation
- Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda and documents to support case preparation
- Managing case files, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with key dates and procedural requirements
- Liaising with clients, court officials, opposing counsel and other external parties on behalf of the practice
- Maintaining and updating practice management systems and databases




- Providing support with legal billing and trust account administration as required
- Assisting with general office administration and contributing to the efficient operation of the practice

What we're looking for

- A qualification in paralegal studies, legal secretarial studies or a related qualification, or equivalent practical experience in a legal environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear and skilled legal correspondence
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities with a capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal practice management software
- A thorough understanding of legal procedures, court rules and filing requirements
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all work undertaken
- Professional discretion and the ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Previous experience in a law firm or legal department is highly desirable
