Makibe Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Workshop Bench Technician/Fitter to join our team in Ingleburn, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in maintaining, assembling and repairing mechanical components and equipment. As a key member of our workshop team, you will contribute directly to the quality and efficiency of our operations, ensuring that all work meets our high standards of craftsmanship and precision.

What you'll be doing

- Performing precision bench fitting work, including filing, drilling, grinding and other finishing operations
n
- Testing and inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications
n
- Maintaining and calibrating workshop tools and equipment
n
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues and identifying solutions
n
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised and compliant with health and safety regulations
n
- Documenting completed work and maintaining accurate records
n
- Collaborating with other team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
n

What we're looking for

n

- Proven experience working as a fitter,



machinist or bench technician in a manufacturing or engineering workshop environment
n
- Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision measurement instruments and workshop equipment
n
- Knowledge of workshop practices, safety procedures and quality control standards
n
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work methodically
n
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
n
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment
n
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and techniques
