Shepparton Golf Club is seeking an experienced Chef to join our culinary team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your culinary expertise in a welcoming hospitality environment whilst maintaining a flexible work schedule. Based in Shepparton, VIC 3630, this role is integral to delivering high-quality dining experiences to our members and guests, ensuring every meal reflects our commitment to excellence and exceptional service.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and culinary standards

Managing food preparation areas, including mise en place and inventory organisation

Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and sanitation in accordance with health regulations

Collaborating with kitchen team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods

Monitoring food quality and presentation to ensure consistency with club standards

Contributing to menu planning and suggesting seasonal or creative dishes

Operating kitchen equipment safely and responsibly

Managing food costs and minimising waste where possible

What we're looking for

Proven experience working as a Chef in a hospitality or food service environment

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and culinary principles

Current or obtained Food Safety Supervisor or equivalent food hygiene certification

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure

A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety





Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with kitchen and service staff

Flexibility with working hours, including potential weekend and evening shifts

Experience in club or restaurant environments is highly desirable

A passion for delivering quality food and exceptional dining experiences
