Few's Mining Leadership & Maintenance Pty Ltd is looking fora mechanic to join the growing team located at the Harwood shipyard.

If you have experience as a mechanic or fitter machinist working in mechanical, manufacturing, marine, civil, mining or construction environments, a strong work ethic and integrity, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

n

n
- Building and maintaining vessels in the shipyard
n
- Maintenance of trade tools and equipment
n
- Working in confined spaces and at heights
n
- Working across a range of shipbuilding and repair projects
n
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and on schedule
n
- Communicating well with your team and project stakeholders
n

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Assisting boilermakers, the blast and paint team, and the slipway team
n




- Assisting in boat entry onto the slipway and launching off
n
- Work independently as needed
n
- Overhauling all valves associated with the ships
n
- Engine work and servicing
n
- Maintenance and servicing of auxiliary equipment
n
- Moving materials and equipment
n
- Operating hand and power tools
n
- Site clean‐up and maintaining safe work areas
n
- Assisting with mechanical installations, maintenance, and fabrication activities
n
- Additional labouring and support tasks as required
n

n

To Be Considered, You Will Need:

n

n
- A Trade Certificate (mechanic or fitter machinist)
n
- Previous experience as a heavy diesel mechanic in a mechanical, manufacturing, marine, civil, mining or construction setting
n
- Strong and positive work ethic, reliability and ability to meet deadlines
n
- Commitment to teamwork and safety
n
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn
n
- Additional tickets such as EWP, Working at Heights, or Confined Space beneficial
n
- Confined Spaces ticket –or willingness to obtain
n
- Working at Heights
n
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform)
n
