Visionary Health Compounding Chemist – Hamilton NSW

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Compounding Technician / Dispensary Technician to join our team in Hamilton, Newcastle.

n

This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week.

n

As a specialised compounding pharmacy, we prepare customised medications tailored to the individual needs of our patients. Accuracy, attention to detail, organisation and excellent time management are therefore essential to this role.

n

Working closely with our pharmacists and experienced compounding team, your responsibilities will include:

n

- Assisting with the preparation of customised compounded medications
n
- Following established compounding procedures and formulas accurately
n
- Weighing, measuring and preparing ingredients with precision
n
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compounding records
n
- Assisting pharmacists with dispensing and prescription processing
n
- Receiving and processing prescriptions
n
- Answering telephone enquiries and assisting patients
n
- Maintaining dispensary and compounding stock
n
- Monitoring stock levels, expiry dates and inventory
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant compounding environment
n
- Following pharmacy procedures, quality standards and workplace protocols
n
- Managing competing priorities and completing tasks within required timeframes
n

Experience - Essential

n

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

n

n
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Dispensary Technician or in a similar pharmacy role
n
- Strong dispensing and prescription-processing experience
n
- A high level of proficiency, accuracy and attention to detailll>
n
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills
n
- The ability to prioritise competing tasks and work effectively under pressure without compromising accuracy or quality
n
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
n
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n

n

Previous compounding experience is essential, as specialised compounding training will be provided to the successful candidate.

n

We are looking for an experienced pharmacy professional who already has a strong foundation in dispensary operations and is ready to further develop their skills in pharmaceutical compounding.
