About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our WorkCover Queensland team in Brisbane.

In this contractor role, you will manage a diverse caseload of WorkCover Queensland clients presenting with both physical and psychological injuries. A significant component of the role will involve supporting clients with mental health conditions.

You will work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, insurers, treating practitioners and mental health professionals to facilitate recovery, build capacity and achieve sustainable return-to-work outcomes.

This role offers flexibility, autonomy and the support of an experienced and collaborative national team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a caseload of WorkCover Queensland clients

- Conduct vocational,



rehabilitation and psychosocial assessments

- Support clients with psychological injury and mental health presentations

- Develop and implement rehabilitation and return-to-work plans

- Liaise with insurers, employers, medical practitioners, psychologists and other stakeholders

- Coordinate rehabilitation interventions and support services

- Prepare qualified case notes and reports

- Support sustainable recovery and return-to-work outcomes

About You

- Qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling

- Current ASORC membership

- Experience working with clients presenting with mental health conditions and psychological injuries

- Experience in occupational rehabilitation, injury management or workers compensation (preferred)

- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage a caseload

- Current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
