Job Description

Jaywa Wellness Centre As a Massage Therapist at Jaywa Wellness Centre, you will provide high-quality therapeutic massage and body treatments that support clients’ health, relaxation and physical function. You will work with a diverse client base, from those seeking deep relaxation to clients requiring remedial support for muscle tension or injury recovery.

This position requires both technical expertise in massage modalities and excellent interpersonal skills to deliver a positive client experience.

Task & responsibilities

- Client Assessment and Treatment: Assess each client’s physical condition, symptoms and needs prior to treatment
- Develop tailored massage therapy plans based on assessment and client goals
- Provide therapeutic massage, applying appropriate techniques to soft tissues including muscles, tendons and ligaments
- Utilise a range of techniques to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, promote relaxation and support rehabilitation
- Treatment Modalities: Apply a range of therapeutic massage methods such as remedial, deep tissue, traditional Thai, Shiatsu, sports massage or other modalities relevant to client needs
- Recommend and apply complementary aids where appropriate including hot stones, essential oils,



compresses and relaxation modalities
- Advise clients on stretching, relaxation and self-care exercises to support treatment outcomes
- Professional Standards: Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Keep treatment areas clean, safe and well-prepared
- Contribute to scheduling, appointment management and client follow-up
- Stay current with best practice and industry developments in massage therapy

Qualification & experience

- Mandatory Qualification: at Diploma level or higher in Massage Therapy, Remedial Massage, Sports Therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine massage or related field or equivalent demonstrated experience that meets the skill requirements for occupational classification
- Preferred Experience: in therapeutic or remedial massage practice
- Demonstrated competence in multiple massage techniques
- Current first aid and CPR certification
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary wellness team
