Assistant Manager – Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles,

you will combine your proven sales ability with leadership responsibilities to support the department's continued growth and success. Key responsibilities include:



Selling Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles while achieving volume and profitability targets Assisting the Pre-Owned Vehicle Manager with daily operations and team performance Leading by example through exceptional customer engagement and sales outcomes Coaching and mentoring sales team members to maximise results and customer satisfaction Supporting stock management, presentation standards, vehicle merchandising, and pricing strategies Managing and following up all customer enquiries and leads in a timely manner Overseeing the complete sales process, including finance introductions, trade-ins, and aftermarket products Ensuring premium vehicle handovers that exceed customer expectations Building long-term customer relationships and generating repeat and referral business Assisting with marketing initiatives, product campaigns, and competitor analysis Maintaining compliance with Mercedes-Benz standards, policies, and training requirements Accurately managing CRM activities, customer records, and dealership documentation What You'll Bring Proven success in automotive vehicle sales, ideally in pre-owned vehicles Previous leadership, mentoring, senior sales consultant, or assistant manager experience highly regarded Strong understanding of dealership sales processes, finance, trade-ins, and customer retention strategies Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Results-driven mindset with a demonstrated history of achieving and exceeding targets Professional presentation and a commitment to excellence Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with dealership CRM platforms and digital sales tools Mercedes-Benz Waverley , Brighton, Mornington, and Berwick are part of Patterson Cheney Cars and Trucks, one of Australia's largest privately owned automotive groups.
