Reportingto the Deputy Head of Senior School – Academic Excellence andGrowth, the Head of Faculty – Languages leads a collaborativePrep–Year 12 faculty and oversees curriculum, teaching andoperational excellence across Lauriston’s Languages programs:Chinese, French, Latin and Spanish. A key priority of the role isto create a purposeful and connected learning journey that developslinguistic proficiency, intercultural understanding and curiosityabout the world, with clear progression across year levels andstrong pathways into senior Languages study. The Head of Facultychampions Languages across the School, supports teachers to shareexpertise and strengthen practice, and fosters a culture ofcontinuous improvement and innovation.



The role also createsauthentic opportunities for students to engage with language andculture through exchanges, immersion experiences, cultural programsand strategic partnerships that enrich learning and bring languagesto life.

- Acommitment to creating authentic language and culturalexperiences through exchanges, immersion, partnerships,excursions and enrichment opportunities
