CQ Rescue is a highly respected not-for-profit organisation delivering critical helicopter rescue services and related community initiatives throughout the Mackay region. Operating from a modern office and hangar complex at Mackay Airport, our organisation also provides on-site and field-based drug and alcohol testing services.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Officer for a 6 month maternity contract to support our growing finance function. This position offers a rare opportunity to be involved in the full spectrum of accounting responsibilities across CQ Rescue's three corporate entities, working closely with our Financial Accountant and Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in day-to-day financial operations and accounting activity across all entities
n
- Take responsibility in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank transactions and reconciliations
n
- Process and maintain accurate financial data within our Netsuite ERP
n




- Support preparation of internal financial reports and other accounting requirements
n
- Provide backup support for finance team members as required
n

About You

n

n
- Hold qualifications in Accounting (Bachelor's degree preferred)
n
- Solid experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, ideally within a multi-entity environment
n
- Solid understanding of AP, bank reconciliations, and general accounting processes
n
- Experience using ERP systems (Netsuite experience is highly regarded)
n
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a dynamic team
