Supported Independent Living (SIL) Coordinator

Expressions of interest are invited for the role of SIL Coordinator to coordinate the day to day operations of Multitask residences in the Northern Rivers Region NSW, maintain a person-centred culture and support the provision of quality services. This role involves a balance of administration/supervisory duties and direct disability support work.

The role is classified as Level 4 of the SCHCDS Award $46.70ph. As a Not-For-Profit, we can offer opportunities to salary sacrifice which can increase your take home pay.

Candidates should address the following criteria:

n

Qualifications

n

Certificate IV Disability Services or other equivalent/higher experience or qualifications

n

A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain before commencing employment)

n

A current NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain before commencing employment)

n

Interpersonal skills and experience

n

Strong communication skills and capacity to collaborate as part of a diverse team.

n

Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and use initiative.

n

Ability to work autonomously,



know when to seek help and ability to utilise time effectively

n

Professional skills and experience

n

Experience supervising staff and the ability to implement staff training and development, manage performance and ensure adherence to policies and procedures

n

Experience with supporting people in areas such as personal care, health and wellbeing, active community participation and skill development.

n

Demonstrated administrative ability; including budget management, rostering of staff and maintenance of records.

n

Knowledge of contemporary approaches such as person centered planning and active support.

n

Thorough understanding and commitment to NDIS Practice Standards Work Health and Safety and Equal Prospect.

n

Computer literate: intermediate competency with the Microsoft Suite & be competent in data entry.

The role is 76 hours per fortnight initially for 12 months with potential to extend.
