Medical Receptionist Full Time + Part Time

Toowoomba Cardiac Centre currently has two positions available. Full-Time Medical Receptionist (38 hours a week) and Part time Medical Receptionist (24 hours a week). We are a busy specialist practice providing comprehensive and compassionate care to improve the experience and outcomes for patients. As a team, we provide exceptional service to our patients with a caring nature and professionalism at all times.

Key responsibilities

Providing first line contact with patients in a friendly and courteous manner via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions

Attending to general daily email enquiries from patients and surgeries

Preparing and running our Clinics

Preparing admission paperwork and quotes for patients

Emailing theatre lists for scheduled surgeries

Liaising with Hospitals, Anaesthetists, Medicare & other health providers





Data entry and scanning of medical documents

Proof reading of letter correspondence back to referring Doctors

About you

Professional administrative skillset and ideally experience within the Healthcare Industry

Professionalism and confidentiality

Excellent patient service and communication skills

A professional appearance and exceptional spoken and written English

Mature minded, caring & an understanding nature

A team player who is always happy to help their colleagues

Meticulous attention to detail

Knowledge of health fund billing, Medicare & DVA

Punctuality and being flexible with hours (when needed)

Being able to prioritise, being highly organised and thinking one step ahead
