Curious Minds Studio is a private practice based in the southern suburbs of Wollongong. We provide psychological therapy to adults aged 18 years+ for a range of mental health concerns. Our main interest areas are neurodivergence, perinatal mental health, trauma, and anxiety/depression/adjustment concerns. Most of our clients are women aged between 20-50, but we accept referrals for clients of all ages 18+.

We are currently seeking a Registered/Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Registrar to join our team 2 days per week to commence with the option to add more days in the near future.

Key Responsibilities:
n
Provide individual therapy to adults presenting with a range of mental health concerns.
n
Maintain thorough, accurate and timely client notes and complete timely reports back to referring parties (e.g., GPs).
n
Collaborate with referrers and the practice team to ensure high quality client care.
n
Stay current with best practices in psychology through ongoing professional development and supervision.
n
Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
n
Build your referral networks and niche so you can practise in the clinical areas that you truly enjoy.

Reduce the administrative aspects of private practice - we only see clients privately or under Mental Health Treatment Plans.

Selection criteria. The successful candidate will have:
n
Full registration with AHPRA and ability to apply for a Medicare provider number.
n
Previous experience in a private practice setting working with adults providing therapy, for a range of clinical areas.
n
Experience in providing EMDR.
n
Ideally an interest in neurodivergence, perinatal mental health, trauma, and anxiety/depression.
n
Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
n
Excellent client retention and ability to engage and motivate clients on their therapy journey.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Ability to take ownership and initiative over your client care and organisation of work.
n
Confidence to learn the practice software to support the smooth running of the practice.
