The Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and friendlyOperations Manager on a Full Time basis. This role is designed to provide leadership and guidance to the Duty Manager and Lifeguard teams, while assisting the Centre Manager in managing the day to day operations of the Centre. This role is hands-on with a focus on safety, supervision, risk management, facility maintenance and operations.

You will have a passion for safety around the water. You should have strong report writing & record keeping capabilities / experience. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy our visit every time. You will have proven Leadership qualities and have a passion for developing a high performing operations team.

You will also have an ability to engage with Key Stakeholders and build strong relationships.

Skills & Attributes

- Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
- An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within a leisure facility
- Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
- Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
- National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Current Pool Operations Certificate
- Previous experience and success in a comparable role

The Site

Currently under construction,



opening in 2021,TheCity of Whittlesea have undertaken a major $25 million redevelopmentofMill ParkLeisure.

Theworks include:

- New state of the art gym and group fitness spaces.
- Three new pools, including leisure pool and aqua play features, learn to swim and warm water pool.
- This compliments the upgraded 25m pool, new, larger spa and sauna and new family and group and school change facilities, as well as improved change options for people with disabilities
- A recent café, retail area and reception
- A landscaped outdoor space with play equipment, barbecues and outdoor exercise equipment

The Operations Manager is primarily responsible for leading the Duty Manager and Lifeguard teams. The role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of water safety in accordance with industry best practice, and regulations. The Operations Manager is responsible for the recruitment, rostering and training of the Lifeguard and Duty Manager team.
