About The Opportunity
n
The primary purpose of this position is to provide finance support across the business, understanding finance principles and the ability to work with other team members to achieve accurate results.
n
Some of your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Taking ownership of job costings and financial reporting, liaising with accountants
n
- Managing supplier and subcontractor invoicing and payments, including purchase order matching and approvals
n
- Overseeing end‐of‐month reconciliations and stocktake processes
n
- Maintaining accurate subcontractor compliance records, including public liability and WorkCover
n
- Managing project information and tool/asset records to keep the business running smoothly
n
- Completing weekly payroll entry information for the external accountants
n
n
You will also assist with Building Approvals,
and full training for these processes will be provided.
n
n
- Setting up new clients and projects, and invoicing starter packs and deposits in Constructor
n
- Coordinating building approvals with the Building Certifier, including QLeave and QBCC requirements
n
- Organising soil tests, effluent requirements, and energy efficiency documentation
n
- Assisting with plumbing applications, council permits, and decision notice certificates
n
- Keeping clients informed and booking footing and final inspections with the Onsite Manager
n
- Attending Production Team Meetings and assisting with approval‐related actions
n
n
About You
n
The successful candidate will have:
n
n
- Previous experience in a similar position and an openness to learning the approvals side of the role
n
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisation and time management skills
n
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, councils, and certifiers
n
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines with a proactive, collaborative approach
n
- Confidence with accounting and payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
n
- Building and construction approvals experience desirable but not essential; training provided
n
