MUGGA WARA ENDOSCOPY CENTRE - Wardsperson/Patient Support (part time)

Mugga Wara Endoscopy Centre was established in the ACT over 25 years ago as a private day hospital to accommodate privately funded and self-funded patients for a variety of gastroenterology procedures.

n

Our facility in Deakin comprises of two well equipped procedure rooms, contemporary pass-through cleaning/reprocessing equipment and an expansive recovery area.

n

We are currently looking for a part time wardsperson to assist with the running of our centre. Duties include moving of patient beds/equipment, manual handling, cleaning, unpacking stock and assistance with patient refreshments. Other duties may be required as needed to assist nursing staff during the day.

We offer some flexibility and are very conscious of family commitments. We anticipate working hours between 9am-3pm, 2-4 days per week.

- Good communication skills:



To ensure effective teamwork and compliance with policies and procedures that are relevant to work performance.

- Teamwork: An understanding of the importance of teamwork and the ability to work collaboratively to create a positive culture and deliver a quality service. Ability to work in a small team/independently under the supervision and direction of the nursing and management staff.
n
- Adaptability and flexibility: To accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet patient needs.
n
- Australian resident, able to work in Australia without restrictions.

Advantage/desirable:

- Understanding of Infection Prevention and Control Processes within a healthcare facility.
n
- Knowledge of Wardsperson duties

- Worked in or currently working in similar role
