Position Information

Edmondson Park High School is a new high school. It islocatedat the corner of Buchan Avenue andHorrieRoad, within the rapidly expanding Southwestern Sydney growth corridor. This area has experienced significant residential development over the past decade, resulting in a diverse and growing local population. The school is designed to primarily serve the vibrant communities of Edmondson Park and Bardia.

Student enrolment will be estimated at: 270
Percentage of students from NESB: 91% (estimate)
Percentage of Aboriginal and/or Torres Straight Islander students:2% (estimate)

In response to the distinctive staffing requirements associated withestablishinga new school, staffing positions will be advertised in a staged manner, aligned with student enrolment. This advertised TAS-Food Technology position is due to start November 9, 2026.

Edmondson Park High School is seeking a Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) teacher who will play an integral role in our current school, initially teaching Stage 4 Food Technology & Technology Mandatory (Years 7 and 8).

Specific Selection Criteria





- Approval to teach Food Technology and Technology Mandatory.
- Knowledge and practical skills to deliver engaging, hands-on learning that develops students’ design thinking, safe working practices, and core food-specific skills.
- Capacity to create supportive, and inclusive classrooms that motivate students with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to collaborate as part of a staff team in building positive, productive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
