We are looking for a trade-qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic to join EvaKool's technical team, specialising in the diagnosis, repair and testing of portable 12V/24V compressor refrigerators and freezers.

n

This is a hands‐on workshop-based refrigeration role — not an air‐conditioning installation role. You'll diagnose electrical and refrigeration faults, repair products, test completed repairs and help us identify recurring product and component issues.

About the role

n

This is a full-time role based at our brand-new Burpengary East headquarters.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Diagnosing, fault finding and repairing portable fridge freezers
n
- Testing refrigeration and electrical systems to identify faults
n
- Liaising with our Service Agents to assist with repairs and technical enquiries
n
- Providing technical support to our customer service team and customers
n
- Identify common faults and product improvements
n
- Assisting with product testing and quality control
n
- Keeping service and repair records up to date
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
n

Qualifications & Requirements

n

We're looking for a practical, reliable refrigeration mechanic with strong fault-finding skills and a genuine willingness to learn.

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32225,



UEE32220 or equivalent/superseded trade qualification)
n
- Qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic / Refrigeration Mechanic.
n
- Restricted Electrical (QLD) ticket
n
- Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL)
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- Robust refrigeration and electrical fault-finding skills
n
- Strong electrical/electronic diagnostic ability — particularly 12V/24V DC systems, compressors, controllers, thermistors, fans and wiring.
n
- Ideally experience repairing portable refrigeration, caravan/RV refrigeration, marine refrigeration, automotive refrigeration or small commercial refrigeration.
n
- Passion for product quality and testing
n
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
n
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
n
- A willingness to learn new products and skills
n
- Sound computer skills
n
