As our HR Industry Specialist, you’ll work closely with clubs across Queensland to support them with both their day-to-day people challenges and broader HR initiatives.

A key focus of the role will be helping us drive and grow the HR services arm of our Workplace Relations team – identifying opportunities to provide additional practical HR support, resources and services that respond to the needs of our members.

Your responsibilities will include:

Partnering with club leaders to provide practical, strategic and operational HR and workplace relations advice across a broad range of people and workplace matters.

Identifying emerging and unmet HR needs across the club industry and developing practical solutions that respond to the needs of Clubs Queensland members.

Helping to develop and grow Clubs Queensland’s HR service offering, including identifying opportunities for new member services, initiatives, resources and support.

Leading and delivering HR projects, transformation initiatives and continuous improvement activities that support the evolving needs of Queensland’s club industry.

Developing practical HR resources, guides, templates and tools that clubs can readily apply within their workplaces.

Leading and facilitating HR networking events, workshops and other member engagement activities, while building strong relationships with club managers, executives, HR professionals and industry stakeholders.

Keeping across developments in employment law, industrial relations and contemporary HR practice and translating these into clear, practical guidance for clubs.

Travelling throughout Queensland as required to engage with clubs, deliver initiatives and support member events.

About you





You’re an experienced HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, solving problems and turning HR knowledge into practical solutions. You bring a strong service mindset and experience identifying organisational needs and developing HR services, initiatives and solutions that deliver genuine value. You’re comfortable taking ownership of new ideas and projects, working autonomously and collaborating with others to bring them to life.

You’ll ideally bring:

Demonstrated experience in an HR advisory, HR business partnering or HR consultancy role, ideally within hospitality, clubs or another operational or service-based environment.

Strong working knowledge of employment law, industrial relations and employee relations.

Experience partnering with and coaching leaders on a broad range of operational and strategic HR matters.

Experience developing HR services, initiatives or solutions in response to organisational or client needs.

Experience leading or contributing to HR projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

Strong communication, consultation and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence outcomes and build trusted partnerships at all levels.

The ability to work autonomously, take initiative and manage multiple priorities in a varied, member-facing workplace.

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.





A current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel throughout Queensland as required.
