About the Opportunity
n
We are currently seeking an Automotive Paint Prepper to join our Brendale team.
n
This role is critical to the refinishing process, ensuring vehicles are correctly prepared to achieve high-quality paint finishes and efficient workshop productivity.
n
We also welcome applications from 2nd Year-3rd Year Spray Painting Apprentices who have not completed their apprenticeship and are looking to continue building their skills as a Paint Prepper within a professional collision repair environment.

Key Responsibilities
n

- Vehicle masking and preparation prior to painting
n
- Sanding,
priming, cleaning, and surface preparation
n
- Application and restoration of anti-corrosion treatments
n
- Mixing and applying primers and undercoats
n
- Maintaining quality standards throughout the preparation process
n
- Supporting workshop efficiency and assisting the paint team as required
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
- Previous experience as a Paint Prepper, Paint Trade Assistant, or within a collision repair workshop
n
- Understanding of automotive refinishing and vehicle preparation techniques
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
n
- Reliable and team-focused attitude
n
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced workshop environment
n
- Apprentices with relevant spray painting experience are encouraged to apply
