Store Manager – Full Time Location: Riverwood, NSW (Shop 7, 247–263 Belmore Rd, Riverwood NSW 2210) Salary: $77,000 – $82,000 per annum + superannuation

About the Business

Metro Wireless DX (operated by Mertel Pty Ltd) is an established retail business specialising in mobile phones, telecommunications products, plans, and related services. The business operates in a fast-paced retail environment requiring strong leadership, sales performance, and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, staff rostering, and coordination
- Supervise, train, and lead retail staff to ensure efficient performance
- Manage store financial performance including profit and loss, budgeting, and cost control
- Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of staff




- Conduct staff performance reviews and manage workplace issues in line with company policies
- Oversee inventory control, stock ordering, and stocktake processes
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely stock availability
- Ensure high standards of customer service and handle escalated customer issues
- Maintain store presentation and implement promotional activities
- Implement loss prevention and store security procedures
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and company policies

Requirements

- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in a retail management or supervisory role
- Robust leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage store operations, staff, and sales performance
- Ability to meet sales targets and manage day-to-day retail operations
- Previous experience and knowledge of mobile phones, telecommunications products, mobile plans, and related services is highly preferred
