St Vincent's Care at Home
At St Vincent's Health Australia, we're reimagining the future of healthcare through our innovative Care at Home portfolio.

Combining clinical excellence, virtual care, digital innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration, we are working to:

- Deliver hospital-level care beyond traditional hospital walls.
- Improve patient outcomes through connected and technology-enabled models of care.
- Increase patient choice, independence and access to high-quality healthcare.
- Build a more sustainable and equitable healthcare system for future generations.

This is more than a new model of care. It represents one of the most significant healthcare transformations occurring across Australia.

As part of the enterprise-wide Bringing Care Home strategy, St Vincent's has committed to delivering 50% of all care virtually or in the home by 2030.

The newly established Medical Care at Home program is a cornerstone of that vision, providing safe, effective and clinically governed hospital-level care in the home. The program combines virtual care,

nursing-led service delivery and multidisciplinary collaboration to support patients with a diverse range of clinical conditions and acuity levels outside traditional hospital settings.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Career Medical Officers, General Practitioners and other Medical Specialists to join St Vincent's Care at Home and play a foundational role in one of Australia's most innovative healthcare initiatives.

Based in Brisbane, we have both permanent full time and permanent part-time opportunities available.

These senior medical roles will operate across a seven-day roster as required, including participation in an on-call roster. You will support the delivery of safe, responsive and clinically governed Medical Care at Home services while providing medical oversight for patients receiving hospital-level care beyond traditional hospital settings.

Operating from the St Vincent's Care Coordination Centre, you will work closely with nursing, operational and executive leaders to establish clinical credibility, foster stakeholder engagement and develop innovative care pathways that safely bridge the gap between hospital and home.

You will provide medical governance for a nurse-led model of care, support the rollout and expansion of services across Queensland and contribute to the national growth of Medical Care at Home services across New South Wales and Victoria.

This role will be instrumental in building clinical trust in higher-acuity virtual care. You will partner closely with Visiting Medical Officers, hospital clinicians and healthcare leaders across St Vincent's hospitals in Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as other locations when required.

As the service grows, you will become part of a nationally connected medical team providing clinical coverage and helping guide the future direction of Medical Care at Home across Australia.
