Alderley Dental is looking for an experienced, dependable Dental Assistant who takes pride in excellent chairside support, patient care and keeping the clinical day running smoothly. Your technical ability matters, but so does the way you make patients feel. We're looking for someone calm, organised and caring who can anticipate what the dentist needs while helping patients feel secure and comfortable.

Full-time employment is preferred; however, experienced candidates seeking a permanent position of 3–4 days per week are also encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

Providing efficient four-handed chairside assistance

Preparing for general, restorative, crown and bridge, cosmetic, surgical and implant procedures

Anticipating the dentist's needs and maintaining an organised clinical workflow

Reassuring nervous patients and communicating calmly and professionally

Reinforcing post-operative instructions and agreed treatment information

Preparing surgeries and completing timely room turnovers

Following current infection prevention, sterilisation and instrument-tracking procedures

Maintaining clinical supplies, materials and stock levels

Assisting with charting, clinical documentation and laboratory cases

Helping the wider team keep the day running smoothly

About you

Have demonstrated experience as a Dental Assistant in an Australian dental practice

Hold Certificate III in Dental Assisting, or have substantial equivalent experience





Are confident assisting with restorative and crown and bridge procedures

Have excellent infection-control and sterilisation knowledge

Are dependable, punctual and genuinely looking for a stable, long-term position

Communicate warmly and respectfully with patients and colleagues

Remain calm and organised during busy or complex procedures

Take initiative and notice what needs to be done

Work well independently while contributing positively to a small team

Remuneration up to $40 per hour plus super, based on experience and capability
