Electrical Engineer – Industrial Power Systems

n

Working alongside experienced senior engineers and project leaders, you will be involved across the full lifecycle of industrial electrical projects, from initial engineering and design through to construction support, testing and commissioning. This is a genuinely hands‐on engineering position with the opportunity to take increasing technical and project ownership as your experience develops.

Key responsibilities

n

Electrical engineering and design for industrial and infrastructure projects

n

LV and HV power distribution systems

n

Preparation of single line diagrams, schematics, layouts and electrical documentation

n

Switchboards, MCCs, transformers and associated electrical infrastructure

n

Power system studies including load flow, short circuit and arc flash analysis

n

Equipment selection, specifications and technical documentation

n

Electrical calculations and design verification

n

Supporting FAT, SAT, construction and commissioning activities

n

Technical liaison with clients, contractors, suppliers and site personnel

n

Resolving design and site-based technical issues

n

About you

n

A recognised degree qualification in Electrical Engineering

n

Previous electrical engineering experience within Australia

n

Experience in industrial electrical engineering, power systems or electrical design

n

Practical electrical design and documentation capability

n





Experience with LV and/or HV electrical distribution systems

n

Exposure to power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination and/or arc flash

n

Experience using SKM PowerTools/PTW, PowerCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or similar software

n

Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and electrical engineering practices

n

Strong technical problem-solving capability

n

Good written and verbal communication skills
