Position Overview

n

Hi Reach Training is seeking an experienced, professional and engaging VET Trainer / Facilitator to join our training team, primarily based at our Murarrie facility.

n

The position is predominantly Brisbane based, with some travel to our Gold Coast training facility and to client workplaces for onsite training.

n

The role is responsible for delivering high-quality, nationally recognised training to a diverse range of participants across construction, civil, warehousing, manufacturing and related industries.

n

The successful applicant will be confident delivering both classroom-based theory and practical training and will have a strong commitment to safety, compliance, participant engagement and quality vocational education.

n

Mandatory Training Competencies

n

Applicants must hold current vocational competency and industry currency in the following units:

n

n
- RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights
n
- RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform
n
- RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces
n
- MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres
n
- TLID0020 Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
n
- Experience delivering Verification of Competency (VOC) activities desirable.
n

n

Applicants must be able to demonstrate recent and relevant industry experience relating to the units they deliver.

n

Highly Desirable Competencies

n

The following units, licences and experience would be highly regarded:

n

n
- TLILIC0005 – Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more)
n
- TLILIC0003 – Licence to operate a forklift truck
n




- Experience delivering High Risk Work Licence training and/or assessment
n
- Current Queensland HRWL relevant to the training being delivered
n
- Relevant High Risk Work Licence assessor accreditation where applicable
n

n

Training and Assessment Qualifications

n

Applicants must hold an appropriate current VET training and assessment credential that meets the requirements for trainers and assessors delivering nationally recognised training.

n

Applicants must also maintain:

n

n
- Current vocational competency
n
- Current industry skills and knowledge
n
- Ongoing professional development in VET training and assessment
n
- Knowledge of current workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Knowledge of relevant Legislation and Standards
n
- Knowledge of RTO compliance and evidence requirements
n

n

Key Responsibilities

n

The VET Trainer / Facilitator will:

n

n
- Deliver engaging, practical and compliant vocational training.
n
- Facilitate classroom, practical and workplace-based training.
n
- Deliver training at Hi Reach Training facilities and client workplaces.
n
- Provide clear instruction and demonstrations in the safe use of equipment.
n
- Adapt training methods to suit different participant experience levels and learning needs.
n
- Ensure participants receive sufficient prospect to practise skills before assessment.
n
- Maintain a safe and professional training environment.
n
- Complete all required training and participant documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
n
- Ensure attendance records, training records,



practical activities and other evidence are complete and accurate.Follow Hi Reach Training's Training and Assessment Strategies, policies, procedures and training resources.
n
- Provide constructive feedback and support to participants throughout their training.
n
- Identify participants who may require additional learning or language, literacy and numeracy support.
n
- Maintain the condition and presentation of training areas, equipment and resources.
n
- Report equipment faults, safety concerns, incidents or resource requirements promptly.
n
- Participate in validation, moderation, trainer meetings and continuous improvement activities.
n
- Participate in industry consultation and professional development activities where required.
n
- Maintain evidence of vocational competency, industry currency and trainer professional development.
n
- Contribute positively to a cooperative and professional training team.
n

Compliance Responsibilities

The Trainer / Facilitator is expected to understand and support Hi Reach Training's obligations as a Registered Training Organisation.

Additional Requirements

Applicants should hold:

- Current Driver Licence
n
- Appropriate evidence to demonstrate competency in the units delivered
n
- Current TAE40116 or equivalent evidence
n
