Tarneit Autobody Work, a well-established automotive repair business located in Truganina (3029), VIC, is currently seeking two full time qualified Motor Mechanics to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and related components
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other vehicle parts for inspection
- Repair or replace worn or damaged parts using service manuals where required, and reassemble mechanical systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to improve performance and ensure compliance with emissions standards
- Reassemble engines and other components after repair work is completed
- Test and adjust mechanical parts to ensure optimal operation
- Use computer-based diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and assess vehicle issues
- Conduct vehicle inspections and issue roadworthiness certificates or provide a list of required repairs
- Respond to roadside breakdowns and provide mobile repair services when necessary
Requirements:
- Certificate III or higher in a relevant automotive field
- Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
