The Trades Assistant is responsible for assisting the skilled tradespeople (mechanical fitters & engineers) to complete overhauls, repairs and new system builds for hydraulics and pneumatics.

Key responsibilities

Assist with general labour, site preparation, and material handling

Clean, maintain, and organise hand tools, power tools, and plant machinery

Follow safety protocols and clear away debris to maintain a hazard-free work environment

Perform measurements, material cutting, or basic assembly under direct supervision

Take reasonable care for your own and others health and safety, report hazards and incidents and comply with HiFraser policies and procedures

Represent Eastern Automation and HiFraser positively in your conduct and communication with clients, colleagues and stakeholders

Be a proactive and supportive team member

Contribute to continuous improvement, including providing input in team meetings

Undertake other reasonable duties as required to meet operational needs

About you

Fit and healthy, able to work manual labour full time

Willingness to learn
