Allied Health Team Leader – Residential Aged Care Physiotherapist preferred | Full-time | Maryborough or Sunshine Coast Ready for more than a clinical caseload?

Intrinsic Health is looking for an experienced

Physiotherapist, or Occupational Therapist , to step into a Team Leader role supporting our residential aged care services across the region.

You can be

based in Maryborough or on the Sunshine Coast , with supported travel between services as required.

This role combines clinical practice with team leadership and service coordination, with

one dedicated day every fortnight off the floor

to focus on leadership, administration, team support and service planning.

You’ll report to our Aged Care Operations Manager and work closely with clinicians and facility teams to support strong service delivery, team development and continuous improvement.

About the role You will maintain a clinical caseload while providing local leadership and support across our aged care services.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and coordinating allied health services across residential aged care facilities

Supporting clinicians through onboarding, supervision, mentoring and day-to-day guidance

Coordinating rosters, leave coverage, timesheets and service requirements

Building strong relationships with facility managers and clinical teams

Supporting mobility, falls prevention, reablement, equipment prescription and other clinical services

Monitoring documentation, audits, reporting and service quality

Facilitating team meetings, staff training and professional development





Supporting continuous improvement and the rollout of new services and initiatives

About you This role would suit an experienced clinician who is ready to take the next step into leadership, or an existing leader who wants to remain clinically connected.

You will have:

A bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy

Current unrestricted AHPRA registration

Experience working within residential aged care

Strong knowledge of AN-ACC, Aged Care Quality Standards, quality indicators and reporting requirements

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Confidence balancing clinical, operational and team priorities

A collaborative, practical and solutions-focused approach

Strong organisation and time-management skills

Willingness to travel between services as required

Physiotherapists are preferred , however experienced Occupational Therapists with strong aged care experience are encouraged to apply.

Previous formal leadership experience will be highly regarded, although we are also open to experienced clinicians who demonstrate strong leadership capability and are ready to grow into the role.

Checks and requirements The successful candidate must hold, or be willing to obtain:





A National Police Check issued within the previous three months

A current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Evidence of influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations where required by residential aged care facilities

A current Australian driver licence

Full Australian working rights
