Role Description

The Support Worker role is an on-site position located in Penrith, NSW. The Support Worker will provide person-centered support to NDIS participants, including assistance with daily living activities, community access, transport, and participation in social, recreational, and Hub-based programs. The role involves following individual support plans, promoting choice and independence, and ensuring a secure, respectful, and inclusive environment. Daily tasks include documenting notes, reporting concerns, collaborating with families and other professionals,



and helping participants engage in activities such as outings, group events, and skill-building sessions. The Support Worker will contribute to a supportive team culture and uphold NDIS quality and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

- Experience in disability or community support roles, with skills relevant to Support Workers and person-centered care.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build rapport, work in a team, and interact effectively with participants, families, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding practices, duty of care, and NDIS quality and safety requirements.
- Basic Technical Support and digital literacy skills to use electronic records, communication tools, and NDIS-related systems.
- Relevant qualification in disability, community services, or a related field (or progress toward such qualifications).
- Ability to work on-site with flexibility for varied shifts, including some evenings or weekends as required.
- Current Working With Children Check, National Police Check, and valid driver’s licence are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, respect, and empowering people with disabilities to achieve their goals.
