Assistant Accountant - Maternity Leave Contract

Industry leading paint manufacturer, based in Seaford, requires an Assistant Accountant. This busy role will be working across multiple group entities, including franchisee group, a USA business in a shared service environment. This 9 month contract plays an important role in supporting prompt management reporting and manufacturing accounting. Key responsibilities

Bank reconciliations Assist with Accounts payable / Accounts receivable Cash Audit report / Merchant fee reconciliation Processing service revenue Assist with Fixed Assets Control Preparing entries for month-end Balance sheet reconciliations Payroll Tax returns BAS preparation Shipment cost control About you





Minimum 3 years' experience in medium sized company in a similar role Broad experience in general accounting duties including accounts payable and receivable Valuable understanding of Standard costing Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy of data entry Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite High attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all areas Eagerness to continually learn and develop new skills Good work ethic and a positive attitude Experience with Pronto Xi will be a big advantage
