SENIOR AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN / OPERATIONS MANAGER

Sublime Audio Visual is looking for an experienced Senior AV Technician / Operations Manager to take ownership of our technical operations and help drive the next stage of our business.

n

The role is based at our North Lakes office, so applicants should ideally live within approximately a 30-minute commute of North Lakes, or be based on Brisbane's north side.

n

This is more than a technician role. We're looking for someone who can lead people, manage multiple productions, solve complex technical problems and make sure the entire operation runs smoothly.

n

What you'll do

n

You'll have responsibility across people, equipment, logistics, events, clients and systems, including:

n

- Lead day-to-day technical operations
n
- Plan and coordinate multiple events
n
- Allocate technicians and casual crew
n
- Manage equipment, warehouse, vehicles and logistics
n
- Oversee bump-ins, event operations and bump-outs
n
- Lead technically demanding productions
n
- Troubleshoot complex AV and signal-flow issues
n
- Work directly with clients, venues and suppliers
n
- Assist with technical quoting and production planning
n
- Develop and improve operational systems and procedures
n
- Train and develop technicians
n
- Maintain high technical and presentation standards
n
- Identify problems before they become expensive problems
n

What we're looking for

n





You'll need substantial professional AV experience and strong knowledge across areas such as:

n

- Professional audio and digital mixing
n
- Wireless microphones and RF
n
- Corporate presentation systems
n
- Video switching and distribution
n
- Projectors and LED screens
n
- Lighting and event production
n
- Dante and networked AV
n
- Staging and event infrastructure
n

n

More importantly, you'll be someone who takes ownership, stays calm under pressure, communicates well and naturally looks for ways to improve the operation.

Commercial awareness is important too. You understand that successful events require more than making the technology work — they require good preparation, efficient labour, careful equipment management and strong client service.
