offering an excellent prospect to lead and manage warehouse operations within a dynamic manufacturing and logistics environment. As Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient daily operations, maintaining safety standards, and supporting the achievement of company objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of warehouse staff, optimising inventory management, and ensuring that all products are handled, stored and dispatched according to company standards and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including task allocation, performance monitoring and team development
Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and despatch of products
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies across all warehouse activities
Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain product integrity
Optimise warehouse layout and storage systems to maximise space utilisation and accessibility
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within warehouse operations
Maintain equipment and facilities in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
Prepare reports on warehouse performance metrics and KPIs for management review
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role within manufacturing or logistics servicing major retailers.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control and stock management procedures
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team effectively
Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements
Proficiency in using warehouse management software and standard computer applications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving ability and decision-making capability in a rapid-paced environment
Physical capability to perform warehouse duties and work in varying temperature conditions
Current driving licence is desirable
