About the role

We're looking for a Planning Engineer to join our Statewide Renewals team in Leederville.

n

Your job will be to help us decide what assets need renewing, when they need renewing, and optimise our investment to provide reliable water and wastewater services across WA.

n

You'll work with people from different teams, use data and models to solve problems, and help plan projects that maintain our infrastructure in a good state. This role reports to the Team Leader - Statewide Renewals in the Asset Planning and Delivery Group.

What the role will involve

n

n
- Review our assets to understand age, condition and likelihood of failure.
n
- Analyse asset performance, risks, costs and service outcomes.
n




- Help develop long-term asset renewal and investment plans.
n
- Prepare business cases and project proposals.
n
- Use and improve data and planning tools to support decisions.
n
- Work with teams across the business to plan future projects.
n
- Prepare project scopes for contractors and delivery partners.
n
- Look for opportunities to improve the way we plan and deliver work.
n

About you

n

n
- Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field.
n
- Experience in planning or long-term planning, asset management, or project delivery.
n
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
n
- Comfortable working with data and computer systems.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- Experience with water or wastewater infrastructure is desirable.
n
- Experience using systems or tools such as GIS, SAP, SQL or similar software is desirable.
n
