Nunawading Autocare is a long-established business, servicing a loyal customer base over its 30-year history. We are a small but enthusiastic team seeking a lead mechanic to efficiently coordinate maintenance and service activity in our growing workshop.

About the role

This is a workshop based role for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and genuinely enjoys the work. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy service workshop, keeping the team productive & jobs progressing.

Responsibilities

Diagnose vehicle issues accurately and communicate service requirements

Coordinate the day-to-day running of the workshop to ensure work is carried out efficiently and to a high standard

Carry out mechanical service and repair work, engine servicing, some electrical repairs, suspension repairs, wheel alignments





Supervise workshop staff including supporting ongoing development of apprentices

Assist in front office answering phones, customer service and the quotation of vehicles

Monday to Friday + no weekends

Prospect to earn bonuses

Full uniform provided

Varied work on all makes and models

About You

Qualified Automotive Technician (minimum 4 years' experience)

Current Drivers Licence

Experience across a wide range of vehicle makes and models

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

The successful candidate must be trustworthy and driven to build a long-term career within the business
