Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Room Leader to join a highly regarded Not-for-Profit organisation at their community-focused Early Learning service located near Marsden Park, NSW.
n
The service is a 110-place centre comprising four rooms, providing a supportive and inclusive environment where educators are encouraged to build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community.
n
As Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of your room, working closely with your team to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment. You will lead programming and documentation, support children's development and wellbeing, and build strong partnerships with families.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of your allocated room
n
- Lead, mentor and support educators within the room
n
- Develop and implement a high-quality educational program aligned with the EYLF, NQS and service philosophy
n
- Plan engaging, play-based and intentional learning experiences
n
- Support children's learning, development, wellbeing and school readiness
n
- Complete observations, documentation and learning assessments to a high standard
n
- Build strong, respectful and meaningful relationships with children and families
n
- Work collaboratively with families to support children's individual learning and development
n
- Create an inclusive, engaging and emotionally secure learning environment
n
- Support children with additional developmental, behavioural or social needs
n
- Ensure children's individual needs, interests and strengths are reflected in the program
n
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
n
- Previous experience as a Room Leader or strong experience ready to step into leadership
n
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
n
- Excellent understanding of child development and play-based learning
n
- Strong programming, documentation and observation skills
n
- Confidence mentoring and supporting other educators
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
n
- A positive, collaborative and team-focused approach
n
- A commitment to inclusion, child safety and high-quality outcomes
n
