HMR Precision Engineering is looking for a keen and motivated Apprentice Fitter and Turner / Machinist to join our skilled team in Clontarf, Brisbane.
About the Role:
As an apprentice, you’ll gain practical, on-the-job experience while working closely with the owner, being mentored in a fully equipped workshop environment. This is an exciting prospect to kickstart your career in a well-established precision engineering business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating manual & CNC lathes and milling machines
- Repairing and servicing hydraulic cylinders and components
- General fabrication and welding tasks
- Learning CAD/CAM software
- Maintenance on workshop machinery
- Packing orders and unloading deliveries
- Driving a forklift (or willing to learn)
- Assisting tradesmen with machining and fitting tasks
- Workshop housekeeping and general duties
