Trade Sales Representative – Internal
to join our Rocklea team. This is a hands‑on internal sales role looking after an established base of trade and commercial customers while actively following up quotes, enquiries and new sales opportunities. If you enjoy building relationships, talking to customers and picking up the phone to win business, this could be a excellent fit. What you’ll be doing
Handle inbound customer calls, emails and sales enquiries Prepare quotations and process customer orders Proactively follow up quotes, leads and open sales opportunities Contact existing customers to maintain and grow relationships Develop new business opportunities with potential customers Provide product advice and help customers find the right solution Identify opportunities to upsell and cross‑sell Maintain accurate customer, quote and follow‑up information in our CRM Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure orders are supplied correctly and on time Take ownership of customer enquiries from initial contact through to order completion What we’re looking for
You will ideally be someone who: Enjoys talking to customers and building strong relationships Has previous internal sales,
trade sales or customer‑facing sales experience Is confident making outbound calls and following up opportunities Takes initiative rather than waiting for customers to call Is organised and follows through on commitments Has strong attention to detail Is comfortable working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Enjoys working in a busy sales environment Has a positive attitude and works well within a team Understands that strong customer service and strong sales performance go hand in hand Trade or industry experience highly regarded
Previous experience selling products into any of the following industries would be a strong advantage: Building materials | Steel supplies | Fencing | Hardware | Construction supplies | Industrial products | Trade supplies Experience dealing with builders, fencing contractors, fabricators, tradespeople or commercial customers would also be highly regarded.
