Role Description We are seeking an experienced and motivated accountant to join our growing team at Craig Baker & Associates. This role has become available due to growth of the firm’s client base. Craig Baker & Associates is a long-established accounting practice located in Runaway Bay on the Gold Coast. This role is ideal for someone with approximately five years of public practice experience who is confident managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs

Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS

Client liaison and management of day-to-day queries

Assisting with tax planning and advisory work

Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and ATO requirements





Supporting team members and mentoring junior staff where required

Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in public practice

Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements

Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software

Excellent communication and client relationship skills

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

CA/CPA/IPA qualified or working towards completion (preferred)
