Nestled in the leafy grounds of Fig Tree Pocket, wrapped by Brisbane River, Brisbane Montessori School began its journey in 1984 with just five children, one dedicated volunteer teacher, and a humble veranda as their first classroom. From these modest beginnings, our school has flourished into one of Australia’s largest Montessori institutions, offering a dynamic, child-centerededucation for students from 15 months to 18 years.

Summary:

The Class Assistant 0-6 plays a vital role in supporting the educational development of young children in a nurturing environment. This part-time position is essential for enhancing the learning experience and ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive. The Class Assistant will work closely with educators to facilitate engaging activities and promote a positive atmosphere for learning across our program and MITC services.

The Role:

- Assist in our Before Montessori School program (BMP) - year 3-6.
- Assist in our 0-3 Montessory Independant Toddler Community (MITC) - year 0-3.
- When required assist in the Montessori years 3-6 School Program

As a Montessori Early Childhood Educator,



you will work in close partnership with our Class Leads/Directors of MITC and Program services to guide children through the Montessori curriculum in a nurturing and developmentally responsive environment. Serving children aged 15 months to 6 years, this role offers the meaningful opportunity to support their earliest experiences of independence, curiosity, and growth.

Qualifications:

- Certificate III / Diploma in Children's Services or Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
- Montessori 0–3 or 3-6 Diploma (desirable).
- Current Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Current CPR and First Aid qualifications relevant for ECEC, (or willingness to obtain) , and
- Queensland Child Protection Training for Early Childhood Education and Care Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

What You Bring:

- Previousexperience working in a Montessori infant and toddler environment.
- A genuine passion for Montessori education, child development, and partnering with families during the early years.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of young children.
