Your Local Tree Guy Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Climbing Arborist / Team Leader / Truck Driver to join our growing Brisbane crew in a full-time role.

n

This is a hands‐on position combining advanced climbing and rigging, on‐site team leadership, and driving and operating trucks, chippers and tree care equipment. You'll lead a small, skilled crew, coordinate daily site activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You'll also communicate with clients and represent the business professionally. The role suits a reliable, motivated arborist with proven climbing experience, strong leadership skills and a current truck licence (MR or HR preferred).

Key responsibilities

- Perform tree climbing, pruning, removals and advanced rigging operations.
n
- Lead a small crew on site, assign tasks and keep jobs running safely and efficiently.
n
- Drive company trucks and transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
n
- Operate chippers and other tree care equipment safely.
n
- Assess site hazards, conduct pre‐start briefings and maintain safe work practices.
n




- Complete pruning work in line with Australian Standard AS4373.
n
- Communicate clearly with clients, crew members and management.
n
- Carry out routine vehicle and equipment checks and report maintenance issues.
n
- Ensure each site is cleaned up and left tidy at the end of the job.

About you

n

n
- Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent industry experience
n
- Demonstrated experience as a climbing arborist
n
- Competency in advanced climbing, rigging, pruning and tree removal
n
- Current chainsaw operation qualifications
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
n
- Current construction White Card
n
- Current MR driver's licence
n
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a tree work crew
n
- Knowledge of AS4373, AS4970 and relevant arboricultural safety requirements
n
- Competency in aerial rescue procedures
