Design and Technology Teacher | Permanent Full-Time Position | Commencing Term 1, 2027

About the Role

n

The successful applicant will teach Design and Technology across Years 7-12, fostering creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation in a contemporary learning environment.

n

This role may attract a leadership allowance.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Teach Design and Technology to students in Years 7-12.

n

Deliver engaging, innovative, and differentiated learning experiences.

n

Contribute to the development and implementation of contemporary Design and Technology curriculum programs.

n

Be able to support and guide students through major design projects and folios.

n

Foster creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking.

n

Integrate emerging technologies and industry-relevant practices into teaching and learning.

n

Contribute positively to the co-curricular life of the school.

n

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.

n

Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation

n





Demonstrated passion for Design and Technology education

n

Experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school setting

n

Knowledge of design processes, prototyping, product development and emerging technologies

n

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

n

Work effectively and collaboratively within a Faculty team

n

Commitment to student wellbeing and academic excellence

n

Capacity to contribute positively to the broader life of the school
