PKCT was established to provide secure, reliable and cost effective bulk material handling services to enable its customers to maintain and/or improve market share in the international coal trade at minimum cost.

The Company's principal activities are coal handling, stockpiling and ship loading at Port Kembla Inner Harbour.

n

PKCT services mines in the southern and western NSW coal fields.

n

ABOUT THE ROLE

n

This role is a Permanent position based at Port Kembla Coal Terminal in the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW, approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney.

n

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Trade to:

n

n
- Work to a high standard and actively engage in the PKCT safe systems of work
n
- Work with and maintain conveying systems, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes and hoisting systems
n
- Investigate and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
n
- Communicate and build relationships across work groups
n

n

This position is a role within the Day Work Maintenance team, with an opportunity to support shift roles as required.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

n

n
- Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade and/or equivalent (must)
n
- Experience working in medium to heavy industry
n
- High Risk Work Licence in Dogging
n
- Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or the ability to obtain
n
- Strong commitment to safety and hazard awareness
n
