The practice provides clients with a range of services including statutory taxation and business-reporting obligations as required. Your role is to assist the Partners by contributing to the delivery of professional client services in an efficient and timely manner.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing financial statements and statutory documents using our accounting systems.
- Attending to the specific requirements of companies, trusts and other business entities.
- Preparing income tax returns, business activity statements (BAS), fringe benefit tax (FBT) returns and payroll tax.
- Preparing and maintaining high-quality work papers and supporting documentation.
- Organising and managing own workflow.
About you
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys problem solving and takes pride in producing quality work.
Ideally you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline with at least 2-3 years' experience in a Public Practice.
- Have robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate accuracy, reliability and consistent quality of work.
- Complete work efficiently and to agreed timelines.
- Demonstrate an ability to understand the impact and importance of timeliness and efficiency when completing assigned work.
- Actively listen to instructions and check understanding.
- Work cooperatively to support others with their work.
- Contribute proactively to achieve required productivity and goals.
