Trevi Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Contract Manager to join our team on a contract basis for the TWJV Project. This role is fundamental to ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects whilst maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and maximising value for the organisation. The Contract Manager will lead all contractual and commercial activities for the TWJV Project, ensuring the project's contractual rights and commercial interests are protected. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project contracts, from initiation through to completion, and will act as a crucial link between the project team, clients, and stakeholders. This position is based in Lihir, Papua New Guinea and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on project outcomes and business relationships.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and administer all contract documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed terms and conditions
- Monitor project progress against contractual obligations and ensure all deliverables are met within agreed timelines and budgets
- Review and analyse contract variations, change orders, and claims, providing recommendations to senior management
- Maintain comprehensive contract records, registers, and correspondence, ensuring all documentation is organised and accessible
- Identify and assess potential contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the organisation's interests
- Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve contractual disputes and issues promptly
- Prepare and present contract status reports, highlighting key performance indicators, risks,



and outstanding matters
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, relevant legislation, and industry standards throughout project delivery
- Support the procurement process by reviewing tender documents, contract terms, and conditions prior to execution
- Collaborate with finance and project teams to manage cost controls and budget forecasting related to contracts

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in contract management within the construction industry, ideally with 10+ years of post-qualification experience
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including fixed-price contracts, cost-reimbursable contracts, and design-and-build arrangements
- Excellent understanding of contract law, risk allocation, and dispute resolution mechanisms
- Proficiency in contract administration software and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to manage relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
- Certification or qualifications in construction contract management, such as those offered by the Australian Institute of Project Management or equivalent professional bodies, are highly desirable




- Problem-solving mindset with the capability to identify contractual risks and develop practical solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative team in a fast-paced construction environment
- Knowledge of relevant construction industry standards, such as AS 4000-1997 or NEC contracts, is advantageous
