Health & Safety Business Partner - 4 month contact

A national leader in manufacturing and production is looking to bring an experienced Health & Safety Advisor onto their operations team. This is an initial 4-month engagement with genuine scope to extend for the right person. You'll be based in office, embedded within a fast-paced industrial operation, working directly alongside the people who run it day to day. It's a role for someone who's happiest out on the floor rather than behind a desk — someone who can earn trust quickly, spot risk before it becomes a problem, and help shift safety from a compliance checkbox to something the whole team actually owns.

What you'll be doing
n
n
- Acting as the go-to safety resource for site leaders, supervisors, and frontline crews
n
- Getting out on the floor for inspections, audits, and risk assessments
n
- Leading investigations into incidents and near misses, and following through on corrective actions
n
- Helping embed and strengthen the site's Safety Management System
n
- Running inductions, toolbox talks, and on-the-job training
n
- Keeping the site aligned with WHS legislation and internal standards
n
- Managing safety documentation and reporting with accuracy and rigor
n
- Overseeing contractor safety compliance and permit-to-work processes
n

What you'll bring
n
n
- A WHS Diploma or Degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
n
- Runs on the board as a Health & Safety Advisor in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy operations environments
n
- Strong grasp of WHS legislation and how safety management systems work in practice
n
- Real experience leading incident investigations and risk assessments, not just reviewing them
n
- The communication skills to influence everyone from machine operators to senior leaders
n
- Comfortable owning your patch independently, while staying connected to the wider HSE team
n
- A current driver's licence
