Western Cardiology, a leading privately owned specialist practice with multiple locations across Perth and regional Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our Patient Accounts team.

Role Details

- Full time position, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday

- Hours worked between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, as part of a team roster

- Conveniently located in Subiaco, within easy walking distance of public transport

About the Role

As a Patient Accounts Clerk, you will be responsible for a range of patient billing and accounts functions, including:

- Generating patient accounts and receipts

- Processing EFTPOS, credit card and cheque transactions accurately

- Managing health fund, Medicare and hospital billing, including Medicare Online and Eclipse

- Providing clear and helpful explanations to patients regarding charges

- Following up outstanding and aged debtors

- Processing banking and account reconciliation

- Managing incoming and outgoing mail

- Responding to patient enquiries and processing payments over the phone

- Filing reports and correspondence with a high level of accuracy

- Working collaboratively with our technical and administrative teams to support a positive and professional working environment

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- Previous experience in an accounts role





- Experience with medical accounts and medical software would be advantageous, but is not essential
- A proactive approach, with initiative and a focus on achieving outcomes

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

- Excellent face-to-face communication and customer service skills
- A mature, professional and empathetic approach to patient interactions

- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with figures

- Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude

- Availability to work in the office between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm
