Lead specialist environmental health policy and procedure development and reviews that support consistent state-wide practices and outcomes on food safety and standards.

Your key responsibilities:

- Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of local and National food safety and standards policies and legislation (including its interpretation and application) as they impact on environmental health practice in Queensland.
- Apply advanced knowledge, judgement and expertise to develop evidence-based options to address complex environmental health issues relating to food safety and standards at a State-wide level in order to formulate appropriate and measurable program goals, objectives and strategies.
- Use high-level specialist knowledge and skills to develop policies, systems and processes and within the scope of food safety and standards on a State-wide basis.
- Participate in State-wide environmental health planning, strategy, policy and systems development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation within the population health program relating to food safety and standards using an advanced level of knowledge.

How you will be assessed The essential requirements for this role are;

- Demonstrated specialist level knowledge, expertise and skill in complex contemporary food safety and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the strategic direction of clinical food safety and standards practice standards.
- Demonstrated ability to use high-level food safety and standards policy knowledge to involve state-wide service standards.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, problem solving and evaluation skills to be able to examine complex food safety and standards problems and develop innovative strategies for their resolution.
